All UPEI patrons
Request an item not available through Robertson Library's eresources or a scan from our print holdings
If you require any assistance, please contact us by email ill@upei.ca or telephone 902-566-0445.
Please check the Robertson Library's holdings before submitting a request.
- Journal holdings may be checked by clicking the Journals tab on the Library Homepage and searching by title or ISSN.
- Article holdings may be checked by clicking the OneSearch link on the Library homepage, or, by searching from the Articles tab and/or following the full-text finder links provided in most UPEI databases. If you have the DOI, there is a link on the Articles tab that will try to locate the article for you from our resources. You may also enter the DOI on the manual request form to pre-populate the bibliographic information. Note that this is not checking our holdings.
- Ebook and online video holdings may be checked by using OneSearch or Publication Finder
- Books (print only) are listed in the library catalogue. Click the Books tab on the library homepage, then click Catalogue, or use this link: https://islandpines.roblib.upei.ca/eg/opac/home
- the tools on these pages may also be helpful: https://library.upei.ca/gscholar/offcampus or https://library.upei.ca/libx
Retrieve an item, set up your account, or check the status of your requests
- First time users will need to set their password using the "First-time users or forgot your password link" on that page.
- A password will be delivered via email instantly from dispatcher @ relais-host.com. After you've used that password to log in, you should set your own. You can do so any time -- you do not need to wait for an article to arrive.
- Current and former UPEI students, staff and faculty members will need to know their UPEI Campus ID#. This is the shorter number on your green UPEI campus card printed near the middle, or, it will have been on your letter of acceptance. Patrons without a UPEI ID# must be Registered Public borrowers, and, have a public borrower's card. You should use the barcode from that. For all patrons, retrieve your documents using the same ID number you would have used to submit your request.
- After you have successfully logged in, you will be able to download your article. Note that you may only access the link 3 times or within 14 days, whichever comes first. With that in mind, you should Download and Save the pdf so that you continue to have access to it.
- You will be able to track the progress of your requests, see a list of all the items you've requested, download articles directly and ask for extensions of loans.
