- Your first stop for chemistry research (i.e. articles, structures, properties, and patents). You can search by chemical formula, name, ID, or structure - explained in the very useful tutorials, linked below. There is also a SciFinder Mobile page for smartphones. You must create an individual account before using SciFinder.

RefWorks
The Library no longer provides access to RefWorks. We now support the open-source citation manager Zotero. RefWorks access ended on April 30, 2026. Visit Zotero information to get started with Zotero.

Export references from SciFinder into Zotero:
- Perform your search.
- Mark the records you wish to save.
- Click Download Results (arrow pointing down icon).
- For File Type, choose Citation (.ris).
- For Select Quantity, select Selected Results.
- Note the File Name (or change if you wish).
- Click Export.
- Log in to Zotero.
- Drag and drop your .ris file directly into My Library OR
- From the top toolbar, select File, and then select Import.
- Under Where do you want to import from? select A file (BibTex, RIS, Zotero RDF. etc.) and Continue.
- Select your .ris file from your computer and Continue.
- You have the option to Place imported collections and items into new collection. Continue.
- References will appear in a new folder in My Library.
Export references from OneSearch into Zotero:
- See the Add an item from OneSearch or other library databases section of the Zotero Tutorial (Watch or read).
