If you’re a current UPEI student or employee, you can borrow PC laptops, phone chargers and other equipment from the Robertson Library.
Need a laptop?
Laptops are available on a first come first serve basis and can be borrowed for a 28-day loan period.
You can only sign out one laptop at a time.
Be sure to save your documents to your cloud or to a USB stick, because the laptops are re-imaged upon return to the Service Desk.

You can also borrow laptop chargers like Macbook Magsafe 3 Charger, Macbook Power Charger, USB-C Apple Charger,Microsoft Surface Charger, and PC Universal Power Charger.
Need an adapter?
We also have adapters.
Need other computer accessories?
Other computer accessories are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis including computer mice, CD/DVD drives, floppy disk readers, keyboards, microphones, and webcams.
Need a phone charger?
If you forget your phone chargers at home, come to the Service Desk and we can lend you one. Here are the available phone chargers that you can check out: Android Cord, Lighting to USB-A cable, USB-C to USB-A cord, and USB-C to USB-C cable.
And don’t forget to borrow a wall plug.
Need other equipment?
The library also offers other equipment for checkout, including: business and scientific calculators, light therapy lamps, Portable CD Player, slide, negative and film scanners, Sound Burger Portable BT Turntable, wireless Bluetooth portable speaker, whiteboard markers, colouring supplies, and a Telescope Kit.
You can borrow the Sky Watcher Dobsonian 6 inch Telescope. The telescope separates into two sections for easy transport, you may want to bring someone with you to help with this. The telescope kit includes a bag with telescope extras and instructional materials.

How can I Check the Availability of Laptops and other Equipment?
You can check the status of any laptop and equipment by checking the Library Catalogue.
And don’t forget, you will need your UPEI Campus Card to sign out any material from the Service Desk.
