Telling Island Stories is now available on the App Store

Our team is pleased to announce that the Telling Island Stories app, developed here at the Robertson Library, is now available worldwide in the Apple App store. You can learn about and download the app from the App Store or learn more about the project on the Telling Island Stories website.

Kudos for this accomplishment go to our student developers, Dylan Sawyer, Peter Workman, and Nick MacAulay, who successfully completed the proof of concept stage of development during the Summer of 2011. Much credit is due to crucial effort of Nelson Hart and Kris Bulman who both have expended considerable hours and effort in the past six months to make that proof of concept into a very attractive and useable discovery tool.

All told we've created something that is uniquely PEI, that highlights the creative energy of the Library, and most importantly, provides a new way to access to our rich digital collections.

I hope you enjoy!
